UTEP d’Athlétisme is organizing a “Garage Sale” on Friday

Thousands of items will be sold before the Spring Football Game

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — On Friday, April 8, more than 2,000 UTEP athletic items, mostly official team gear that has accumulated over the years, will go on sale to the public in the northeast lobby of the Sun Bowl – next to the Main Entrance of the Larry K. Durham Center.

The first-ever UTEP Athletics “Garage Sale” will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. or when inventory runs out. Item prices will be between $1 and $40, excluding sales tax. All sales are final.

“Over the years our fans have asked how they can get their hands on the same gear that players and coaches wear…During our spring cleaning we realized we had a lot of really cool things going on. our possession – some items dating back several years. We are thrilled to make this product available to Miner fans for the first time. We thank our coaches and staff for taking the time to put this all together.

The garage sale will precede the spring minors football game at 6 p.m.

Items from the football, men’s and women’s basketball, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field and volleyball programs will be available for purchase.

UTEP officials say the list of available items includes, but is not limited to: jerseys, uniforms, polo shirts, t-shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, jackets , shoes, socks, hats, fleece blankets, backpacks, bags, championship watches, towels, jewelry, umbrellas and water bottles.

Organizers add that any fan who purchases an item will be entered into a raffle for a free UTEP football helmet.

Proceeds from the garage sale will supplement UTEP Athletics’ operating budget.
