Costume Shops in NKY: It’s Not Too Late to Buy a Halloween Costume

Halloween is less than three weeks away, so hope you have a costume!

The Costume Gallery was established in 1996 and is open year-round. Joy Galbraith and her daughter, Elizabeth Galbraith, own the store. The company sells and rents costumes.

There are four aspects to their business: masquerade and Halloween, theatre, film and custom work. Masquerade and Halloween Costumes have five categories: Pirates and Girls, Halloween (which includes Wizards), Theme Parties (including Celebrities), Renaissance and Period Proper Costumes (Western Clothing, 1700s, 1800s, 1900).

Rental costumes require a credit or debit card for security. They advise people wanting to rent costumes to know their exact measurements, know their dates and order early. The company offers similar services to theater and cinema customers. Costume Gallery provides theatrical costumes for film or television production.

Costume Gallery offers the costumes for around 60 shows, including “A Christmas Carol”, “Grease” and “Phantom of the Opera”. Costume Gallery has a large workroom on site and does custom work; they offer seamstresses and clothing assistants for film, television, commercials, print shoots, industrial video, conventions, corporate and special events. Party City is part of a nationwide chain of retail stores that sell Halloween costumes and accessories, Halloween decorations, party supplies, candy, bakeware, and more. They sell costumes all year round. Florence Square Mall offers Halloween costumes, costume accessories, Halloween decorations, Halloween party supplies, wigs, masks, makeup and Halloween accessories.

Party City sells Halloween costumes for adults, kids, babies and dogs in-store and online. They also offer Halloween costumes for couples, groups, and families. Their TV show character costumes include “The Mandalorian”, “Squid Game”, “Stranger Things”, “The Simpsons” and classic Mickey and Minnie Mouse costumes. Party City offers eight categories of costumes: girls, boys, women, men, family and group, plus size, baby and pet. Some of their most popular adult costumes are Mr. & Mrs. Incredible, Jurassic World inflatable costumes, Hocus Pocus witches, Pennywise, Mandalorian and 1920s Flappers and Gangsters.

Some of their most popular children’s costumes include Spider-Man, Harley Quinn, glow-in-the-dark skeletons, witches, Disney zombies, fairies, and ninjas. The store offers a wide selection of indoor and outdoor Halloween decorations, Halloween inflatables, animatronics and lights. Their hours are Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Spirit Halloween has over 1,400 stores in the United States, making it the largest Halloween retailer in North America. The company has offices in NKY. The stores sell Halloween costumes, animatronics, decorations and accessories. They sell ten categories of Halloween costumes: women, men, girls, boys, babies, toddlers, plus sizes, couples, group and family, and themed. Spirit Halloween offers wigs, masks, weapons and armor, Halloween and costume makeup, costume hats, costume accessories, costume jewelry, fake glasses and decorative glasses, as well as treat bags.

Some of their most popular costumes are from “Fortnite”, “Hocus Pocus”, Disney Princesses, “Ghostbusters”, “Chucky”, “Trick ‘r Treat”, “Killer Klowns From Outer Space”, “Miraculous Ladybug”, “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, “The Haunted Mansion”, “Beetlejuice” and “SpongeBob SquarePants”. This year they offer new costumes from “Dino Ranch”, “Bluey”, “Encanto”, “The Incredibles “, “Ted Lasso”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Squid Game” and “Yellowstone”. Both stores are open Monday-Friday 10am-10pm, Saturday 9am-10pm and Sunday 10am-9pm .

Theater House is a theater and Halloween supply store. Marty Boyer and David Heidrich own the company. They are a year round business. There is a slight emphasis on theatrics over licensed costumes. The store sells costumes from 22 different shows, including “The Addams Family,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” and “The Wizard of Oz.” They sell a wide variety of costumes for adults and children, including Egyptian, Hawaiian, Heroes & Villains, Pirate, Renaissance, Roman, and Storybook characters.

The most popular female costumes are the 1920s Witches, Princesses and Flapper Girl. The most popular male costumes are the Scream mask and the Michael Myers mask. Princess costumes are the most popular costumes for girls. Vampire, Frankenstein and cowboy costumes are the most popular costumes for boys.

They have over ten thousand items, including wigs, costumes, makeup, fabric, and latex masks. Their hours are Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
